Seems if they added this you could use it for personal monitor, and IEM when needed.

Yes. And it works great. I took control of my monitor from the FOH guy by removing the floor wedge and putting this on a mic stand. I'm stage right, so it's not in the way as I have it off to the right. (I put a splitter on my mic cable as the channel volume controls change what you would send to FOH if you use the pass through.)

Yes, we are a 5 piece band and all of us sing, so we have 4 mics stage front and one for the drummer. As such we use 3 of these, two between each of the front mics and one for the drummer, as such they aren't mounted on the vocal mic stands, they sit on there on stands. Which makes it easier to turn and angle,as required.
I find that they are easier to hear being closer to my head and don't have to be that loud to be heard over the drum kit and amps. Having personal volume and eq controls to hand is useful too rather than having to signal to the soundman to adjust.
Our drummer loves it too. In a cramped stage it can be awkward to place a regular monitor. Also being on the floor, it hey can be hard to hear over the drums which are higher up (small bar bands don't always have the luxury of side filling drum monitors!). Having the monitor high up on a stand pointing at his head is so much easier to hear. He's a pretty good lead singer but sometimes struggles pitching harmonies when required, so this has proven invaluable.

I've been considering one of these for a while, I think the model you refer to has been replaced (or is being replaced) by the B207 which has a bigger speaker and a built in MP3 player.
Reviews look pretty good, also to consider though is the Roland CM30 which is reputed to have a better sound.
