Behringer UMC202HD issue and possible replacement advice - MacOSX

Ahh it's good to be back TB!

My lovely lady picked me up a UMC202HD for my birthday so that I could replace my old Line 6 UX1 which no longer works with my MacBook. We use the 8 channel in our rehearsal space and it works great with Logic across all our Macs (4 different ones in total so far). Sadly I'm having issues with this one which seems to be prevalent in the smaller units when connected to USB3 slots on Mac OSX.

One possible solution is to get a USB2.0 hub and connect the interface but I'm hesitate to spend even a little cash if this doesn't resolve the issue (or creates another issue). Anyone had this issue? I've tried a different USB cable and the same issue occurs.

So now I'm considering that we return this one and go for a Presonus 26c. I want a 2-channel as I'd like to run 2 DI's for our isolation demos. My total budget is around £100 including the refund for the Behringer.

Anyone else found a work around, tried the USB hub route or any experience with the PreSonus?

I'm exclusively using Logic Pro.
