Berklee audition / Walking bass

Berklee doesn't want you to know everything; they want you to have potential, a desire to learn, and the ability to learn/be taught. That means at some point you will have to admit things you need to work on. I took walking bass with Jim Stinnett and Dave Clark, and they were quick to highlight the number of students who were convinced they needed to work on crazy bits of walking lines (9ths, 13ths, etc) when the problem was their R-1-2-3's and 5's were weak.
Don't overthink it; the money notes are R-1-2-3 and 5 and admit that it's an area that you want to work on and improve.
