Berklee Students, present and former!

Got accepted this year with a scholarship, but decided against the decision. Didn't have the skrilla to pay for the tuition. Even after my North American Scholarship Tour. I went as far as paying for the tuition deposit and then 2 weeks before my long drive from California. It was a dream of mine to go to school when I was about 21 or so, I'm now 29. Having poor parents and not enough money saved really excuses you from top colleges. Ohh, well hopefully in another life.

Adam,

Sorry to hear that story. Don't give up on Music! There are many other great paths to your dreams. Love the user name too! SB

I never attended Berklee, but was able to gain experience through Berklee teachers and programs before and while going to a state university.
Before going to music school, I attended Berklee in L.A. '98 during the summer. It was great! I got to hang out with and learn from Rich Appleman, John Peña, and Bunny Brunel. Years later while in music school, Jim Stinnett visited twice as a performer and clinician. Both times, I took private lessons and learned a LOT from him!

Started 2005, graduated 2009. Studied with Ron Mahdi, Oscar Stagnaro, Whit Browne, and John Lockwood!

Now trying to survive on gigs in NYC playing bass and bagpipes. Holy crap is it tough. It's great that I got to play a lot of styles during my college years, though. The last couple months I've done jazz, metal, pop, bluegrass, gospel, and rnb gigs.
