2. Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni
3. Two Scenes From The Umegae by Kirt Mosier(our conductor)

what other pieces are you guys playing?

i've never heard of that first one either
i've played intermezzo before, not hard but a great piece

we're playing:
1. Le Corsair - Berlioz
2. Symphonic Dances from West Side Story - Bernstein (VERY HARD! this one is about 20 mins long)
3. Jubilee Variations - Aaron Copland

ive listened to the bernstein, and im glad i dont have to play that. that is the only excerpt that i had to actually learn note by note. i dont want to do that again for 20 min. what place were you ranked in state?

this is my first year. i tried out last year for the first time, but i wasnt prepared. i started getting serious on bass my sophmore year so im still kinda learing the bass.
i just got accepted to baylor, but i still have to audition to the school of music, so that is a possibility that i will study with sandor.
