It was John Taylor (Andy is the guitarist), and IIRC, Bernard gave him the BC Rich. They worked together on the Power Station album.
Exactly, a "Wonkay".Looks to be a G&L L-1000.
This one. If the man can funk with a damn BCRich, he can do anythaaaeeeng!Yes! The bass player of Maceo Parker. A drop dead beautiful instrument. The electronics an amazing weapon for life use.
Agreed!!My take on the hits off the early albums:
'Chic' 1977
Dance Dance Dance - sounds like a Fender {Precision; or jazz on the front pickup}
Everybody Dance - sounds like a jazz with flats.
' C'est Chic' 1978
I Want Your Love - Stingray
Le Freak - Stingray
'Risque' 1979
Good Times - Stingray
My Forbidden Lover - Stingray
A pattern emerges. First album on Fenders - later albums on the Stingray
As others have mentioned, the BC Rich was a prop on those videos. The Stingray is clearly audible in the mix.
