What is the best 2x10 bass amp combo for rock and funk music? Looking to spend around $1500 or less.

  4. For that kind of money......an Ampeg BA210V2 with a 115 extension cabinet. I'm using a Mesa 115 under mine and it sounds incredible. There even a DI on the back of the amp. Plus this combo does a fantastic job of emulating that vintage Ampeg sound. The wedge design of the BA210V2 cabinet is an incredible feature at rehearsals or gigs.

Besides, what else are you going to use for Rock and Funk other than an Ampeg amp for that great traditional sound. Just kidding... I know there's a lot to choose from out there.

Second on the BA210V2. 280 watts stand alone and 450 with an extention cab. It's essentially a Ampeg SCR-DI with a sweet 2x10 cab and a powerful class D power Amp. Aux in and headphone jack so you can practice with it quietly too.
Picture is from last weekends show.
