Best 34" Scale 5 string?

What is the best "34 bass? It depends on your price range. An Ibanez ATK is an excellent choice IF that is your price range. There are better basses that are at a higher echelon (in price as well). The best is discussed within the context of a price range. Under $1k, I go with the atk805. Over that? I would go with a Musicman 5HH (whether a stingray, sterling, a Big Al or a bongo. OR an Ibanez ATK1205.

My Fodera Emperor 5 Standard is the best 5 string 34" bass I have ever played. Pricy ($4500-4900 used) but worth it for me.

Sadowskys can be amazing as can Nordys for more of a modern Jazz tone. Stingrays and Fender American Deluxe 5ers (2012 and newer for Fender IME) can also be great.

Fodera, Sadowsky and Nordy all have great B strings IME.

I sold my Modulus Quantums for the same reason... I am really a 34" scale guy.

I like my Pedullas and really like the maple Fender Am Dlx. 5's. The MM's are nice but I have an issue with their G string being too close to the edge of the fingerboard and not being able to adjust the spacing like my Pedullas. I've only played one Sadowsky briefly and it was very nice. One F Bass. Similar.
