Best Acoustic Simulator for Electric Upright?

I acquired an NSI Wav4 electric upright a while back, and it came with a Mooer Acoustikar acoustic simulator pedal. I really like the sound and tone that the simulator provides, but I've never had one before so I don't know a thing about them (I suspect that they're primarily designed for electric 6-string guitars).

So I'm wondering -- is there a better one out there, or one more suitable for electric upright bass?

Does BOSS still make the AD-5? I used one of those many years ago (full disclosure: I worked as a product reviewer for the BOSS User's Group magazine circa 1998) and it did some fascinatingly effective things with upright bass.

It appears that the current Boss "acoustic simulator" product is the AC-3. But without having one, I don't know if it would be any better than the Mooer pedal I already have. But thanks for the recommendation!

Having owned both the AC-2 and AC-3, I would not recommend either of them. TBPH, there's no pedal that actually does a good job at this. But, if you really want to go down this route, I would suggest an instrument with piezo pickups, and either the Boss AD-2 Acoustic Preamp or the tc electronic BodyRez.
