Best Australian price for a Gibson Thunderbird?

Hey All,
can anyone in Australia tell me the best price they have seen for a new gibson thunderbird. ?
After doing some quick research online, I found these prices

Gallins Guitars $3,599

Allans Music $3,599

Bass Centre $4,199.

However, I don't think bass centre don't readily stock or deal with Gibson, and they would most likely match the price.
I can't imagine that the quality of Gibson parts etc is any better than a Stingray, Fender Am.Std, Rick 4003 or even a Sadowsky, yet the AU price is higher.

Any thoughts, comments?

After searching, i found and online shop in Sydney called downtown that are doing a TBird for $2,200
that sounds more reasonable.
