Double Bass Best books to buy

I'm not sure what your level is, but if you're relatively new to playing the solo rep, Oscar Zimmerman published a book of solos with piano accompaniment. I think it's just called "Solos for Double Bass" and has 13 or 14 pieces. Very nice pieces that are accessible to those new to playing solo rep on bass.
Also, the second Rabbath method book has nice, short (1-2 page) solos composed by the author. They are great because they address learning specific technical skills on the bass while also helping you to develop your musical voice.
How about just printing off some public domain stuff? Go to imslp.org, pick your favorite orchestral piece, and print off the bass part. It doesn't have everything, but it's got a lot.
