Hello Everyone,
This is my first post here on talkbass. I've been surfing the site and it looks really great.
Anyway, I have a Peavey TKO 115 combo amp that I'd like to get a little more out of if possible. I've never connected another speaker cabinet to it and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what might work well.
The manual says that the ext speaker out jack is in parallel with the internal speaker, which is rated at 8 ohms. Also, it says that any external speaker used should have an impedance of not less than 8 ohms. So, if I understand all this correctly, it sounds as though adding an external 8 ohm speaker will not increase power output, but rather just spread the sound over more speakers.
Does this sound correct? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Gene
