Best Headphone Tunes Ever

Anybody in my age group, 50+, undoubtedly spent hours, days, even months of cumulative time in their rooms or basements with a whopping pair of Koss Pro 4As, or a similar enclosed headphone on their heads listening to music at ear damaging levels.

Man, that was a great time to be alive.

Anyway, what were your favorite headphone tunes?

Mine, almost too cliche, were Slow Ride by Foghat, Green Grass and High Tides by the Outlaws, and Kiss, God of Thunder.

DSOM has a strong personal connection...it was the very first album I heard - wearing headphones-while I was...you know. ...that happened in 1975 and I still remember the feeling to this day. (or at least I think I remember lol )

Add some Dixie Dregs, Beck's Blow by Blow, Moving Pictures, every Yes and Zep album and you've got my musical awakening.....thank god for an other brother and his album collection and Technics turntables back in the day.

I used to do that in the 1990s and 2000s.

It was Pink Floyd - Pulse or Delicate Sound of Thunder for me.

Also early Metallica.

Personally a huge fan of The Allman Brothers' Mountain Jam from the Fillmore Concerts / Eat a Peach on headphones.

Dicky Betts on one side, Duane Allman on the other. And the drum solo is epic with the two drummers.

There is some very clever panning on "Yours is no Disgrace" and other songs that you really need headphones to discern.

ELO are fantastic in headphones. I'm Alive especially was a great listen.
Styx Grand Illusion the entire album was a good headphone experience.
Switched on Bach by Walter Carlos was also fantastic.
Marillion was a personal fav for headphone drifting.
Return to Forever Romantic Warrior .. just so many good experiences with headphones on from back in the day.
Mike Oldsfield, especially the live album Exposed is an all time fav too.
