No question, my Modulus has the best B string I own (and I own some basses with VERY nice B strings. Fender NOT being one of them [2002])

PS. I don't own a dingwall, although I almost pulled the trigger on one, so I can't compare Modulus to Dingwall.

Of those I've played Dingwall is the best and a close second is the Modulus Q5. I own the Modulus for the sake of full disclosure. IMO of course.

Old skool Tobias, Smith and Dingwall have the purest sounding B strings IMO, no particular order.

Not buying from this guy.


As to favorite B string... I've been using newtone strings for some time now and am as happy with the "B" as I am with the other 4.
Consistent,good sounding strings from a very approachable and acommodating company at fair prices.

Those on a well set up bass( ideally 36") will do just fine.
