BEST P-BASS PASSIVE PICKUP?

I just noticed that this is an old thread but I’ll reply to this comment anyway. The original P pickup on my 80’s MIJ PBass was.... meh. I replaced it with the Nordstrand NP4v that I mentioned previously, and it’s never coming out of that P while I’m breathing. Sweet, smooth pickup.

I recently got a AVRI 57 too and I noticed a lot of growl with this pickup. I also have a ''hard'' touch when playing fingerstyle. I still like the even sound of the original pickup but simply wondering if someone found a better sounding pickup! :cool:

Heya LammChop... Can you say a bit more about the differences? I've got a EMG Geezer in my G. Gould (first P-style bass I have ever owned!) and I like it a lot (but still miss the focused tone of an MM-style in the sweet spot).
