Best pickups for a PJ style fretless?

I have my old fretless (yamaha rbx270f) and I want to change the stock pickups because they're making to much ground noise. I want to switch to active pickups.

I have found these:
-Seymour Duncan Basslines APJ-1
-Seymour Duncan Basslines APJ-2 Lightnin' Rods
-EMG PJ-Set

If you guys know better choices please let me know

PS: BTW I play mostly death metal (im a Steve Digiorgio fan!)

You may want to try a cheaper route first if ground noise (ie hum) is the issue.

Buy some copper tape and line the inside control cavity. Solder the ground wire to this. There is a great instruction somewhere on this website. For $5 you could possibly solve the issue.

I've found some pickups won't help with the grounding issue if the cavity is a mess to begin with. Active pickups are *usually* treated more carefully. (I've had good luck with Seymour Duncan actives btw)
