Best portable practice bass combo amp?

I'm glad you found that the Hartke HD15 was smaller than the dimensions posted earlier. Maybe those were box dimensions and not specified as such.

I had come back to offer a different thought and that is using a small "Bluetooth speaker." More specifically, I tried my son's JBL Charge 4 speaker via the 1/8" jack and am more than surprised at how good it sounds and how loud it can get for bass.

I tried it with a preamp pedal (Barber Linden EQ) and was, again, quite surprised by how it sounds. Right now I have it connected to my Line 6 POD HD500X with an iPad plugged into the CD/MP3 input playing along to songs.

Talk about small, portable, and multipurpose!

Great tip! Hadn't occurred to me. I actually own the JBL Charge 4, so will have to give that a go.

If you want to play along to tracks the Tascam gb10 guitar trainer is a fantastic tool. Import your tracks and you can loop passages and slow down with changing pitch. Not an amp, but great at what it does.

If you're looking for a small portable combo like the Fender Rumble 15, I bought a used one on Facebook for $20 works great and is in excellent condition! I would look for a used one. Can probably get one for under 50$!!
