I know there are lot of Acoustic B200H amp fans here, including me! And lots of enthusiastic commentary on the new Acoustic stuff. From what I've read people seem to prefer the matching B115 cabinet for a single cab rig. I do sixties/psychedelic music with an SG bass, going for a big warm sound so the 115 is perfect for me. But I have also thought about getting something like an Avatar NEO 212 cabinet for a single 4 ohm cab that would use more of the B200's head room. I know some of you are using the B200H with some more exotic cabs. I am wondering, from the different cabs you have used with the B200 which is best and why? Or more to the point, if you had to sell all your gear and use just the B200 head and one cab, which one would you keep?

Best Single Cabinet for the Acoustic B200 Head?

I'm sure there's plenty of cabs that head would work great with. I happen to use my B200H with an Aguilar GS212 cab. Sounds great! Puts out as deep a low-end, but with more volume than the GS115 cab I had.
I use a JBL MR15 cab I ran across in the corner of a funky little music store. Even though it has been discontinued for awhile it was new but had parts robbed off it. Missing the handles and one of the plastic corners. The other corners were stress/age cracked at the screw holes. It was a little floppy at first because of the air leaking from the missing handle holes. Replacing the handles tightened it right up. It's an 8ohm cab but very efficient, plenty loud for most places I might play. $100 for the cab and $30 to replace the handles and 8 metal corners and I'm good to go for a long time. I like the thump of this 15", but might add a 10" cab some time for a little more sizzle.
So far my favorite Ive used it with was an SWR Goliath II 4x10.

I have two of the Acoustic B115's and theyre not bad, but alongside two 4x12 half stacks, it just gets lost. You can feel it but you cant hear it really. I probably shouldve just gotten the B600H (came out like a week after I bought mine) or a B410 cab instead of 2 B115's..

IHMO, a 212 is always the best single cab solution unless you need extreme volume. Several hundred watts into a 212 can get stupid loud if needed though.

I use mine with a Fender 210 cab and a GK neo 15 cab and it sounds killer, plenty of headroom and volume.
When I got my B200H I wasn't sure what cab to go with. I looked around locally for any good used cabs and there were several good ones for sale, from 4x10, 15, to 2x10. A guy was selling his Bag End D10X-D 2x10 cab and I'd read good things about BE gear. I checked it out, and the price was good, so picked it up.
The BE cab is very well built, bit heavy, but has a 'tank' like quality to it. You can tell it's one serious cab, like you'd get from a boutique shop.
I love this amp and cab setup. It's compact and easy to travel with. Although I'm still new to bass you can tell when you have something good going, and the sounds out of the rig are not lacking for anything, even when changing the EQ around.
I've played around with the EQ, and will continue to refine the sound as it suites my tastes. After installing Rotosound strings the sound is even better....
I now have an SX (with the RS strings) and an OLP MM. Both sound quite different through the rig, and both sound great.
