Best TV Show Currently Running?

24, although i think this is going to be the last or next to last season...you can only do nuclear plots so many times...

we just started watching the office. funny stuff!

They need to retire Jack and get someone fresh to take his place, like they did with James Bond :) Also, a change of threat would be nice also. As you mentioned the nuclear thing is worn out. Overall the concept of the show is a winnner.

I forgot about Sons of Anarchy since it's in it's off season... and the Office since they haven't aired a new episode in weeks because of the Olympics.

That, and I'm really excited for Justified too.

Archer is pretty funny, as a James Bond fan too... great mockery.

I can't stand coax tv because of the commercials, so I'm gonna say "currently running" means "currently running on my media server":

Firefly
30 Rock
Mad Men
It's Always Sunny

And Animation:
Harvey Birdman / Sealab / Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Futurama / Simpsons
South Park
Family Guy / American Dad / Cleveland Show
Robot Chicken

true , but i think it would be hard to escalate from jack...they made him pretty invinsible... I'm surprised that didn't make mention of the chinese torture when the russians stripped him down a couple weeks ago to torture him some more... They said they want to shoot in london, i'm wondering if that will happen before they close the doors...

I also watch Criminal Minds. Luckily i can watch them all online for fr...:ninja:

Caprica is probably my current favorite... Fringe and Lost close behind. Eurika, Warehouse 13 and Flashforward (all on break) are all up there too.

I was just browsing the show list at the website I watch most everything and I watch WAY too much stuff. Story wise, I dig Scifi type stuff the most, but I also watch quite a bit of Drama, Suspense and Comedy too. I also watch a bit of stuff from outside the US... mostly UK.

House, first and foremost.
I also enjoy HIMYM, though it's not a great show - easy entertainment :)
South Park, for its obvious yet hilarious satire.
Californication!!!
And of course Top Gear.
The Wire - wow. Just wow.

A lot of shows are good for entertainment too, but are not 'great', like Eureka, 24, CSI, Entourage, Prison Break and Criminal Minds.

As for what I think is horrible, just to spark some discussion; Lost, Dexter, Cold Case (and nearly every other CSI-like show with a twist).

And there's some awesome stuff that is becoming old though I see it from time to time on various channels; Twin Peaks, Sopranos, Band of Brothers and the Corleone-show (not The Godfather, the above-all show about the Italian Mafia starting in Corleone and taking over Sicilia).

What I find is that most movies or TV shows that people tell me are great or hilarious I find not very good and unfunny. And, there is nothing I dislike more than when a comedy show decides after a few years that it needs to have serious story lines and nothing funny.

I used to watch Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Drew Carey Show because they were quirky humor. King Of The Hill, Futurama, Family Guy, and Spongebob are good cartoons and I am an old fart who still enjoys cartoons. I just bought box sets of old Hanna Barbera shows.

I watch CSI Las Vegas and New York but they have gotten stale and predictable. CSI Miami has slightly gotten away from the Chuck Norris Walker Texas Ranger style of show but it did not help that much. However, I really like Emily Proctor on that one and Melina Kanakaredes on CSI NY. The Shield was good but it has been done for a while now.

I seem to watch Unwrapped, Good Eats, Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives on Food Network, and shows on Discovery, TLC, etc. that show how things are made.

Two And A Half Men used to be good and now it is losing the edge it once had.

Two and a Half Men is a prime example of a show that develops a serious story line, and becomes less fun to watch. Bit of the same with How I Met Your Mother too, to be honest. Doesn't hinder me from watching them though :3
