Best Value Practice Amp....Marshall MB30 or Roland Cube 30W?

Hey people,

Im playing bass now for nearly 9 months.
Its time to upgrade my amp for home and practice use.

If anyone has experience of the Marshall MB30 or the Roland 30W, it would be great to hear your opinions on their relative quality and value....considering the large price difference between them.

Marshall MB30 Euro140
Roland Cube Euro250

Thanks:hmm:

Im a 9 month newb to bass,
I know the roland has more features and I have heard that it has great versatility and sound quality...

I have also heard that the Marshall is the only bass combo for its class to hold a low B without cracking...:eyebrow:

Just wondering if either of these statements are accurate or even relevant

I tried both and both are ok for what they are,I went with the roland myself. The roland has alot of features but the 30 watts of power was not enough for myself and upgraded. Both are good but what Rickenboogie said is true you won't be heard in a band setting with eaither of them.I traded my cube and a 125 for a Behringer kxf 3000 keyboard amp and all is real good now.I use the amp for my bass, guitar and my roland drum kit and it works well and with 300 watts it's plenty of power.I would look into one keyboard amps are great and for the cash you get alot for your money. If you insist on one of the two you listed go with the roland.Good luck and have fun :bassist:
