Best value strings to buy online for custom guages

I use Newtone for all of my custom gauges. I'm in The US, not sure what the extra cost is from The UK to Australia.

Hi there,

I live in Australia where bass strings are stupidly over priced.
Is there a place online you guys can recommend that i can buy strings from. Good value and decent quality.

I use progressive tension strings so light top going to a heavier bottom.

Cheers

Tim
Flats, rounds or tapes?
I’m in Oz too. I’ve bought online from overseas on numerous occasions if what I wanted was unavailable here and/or it was cheaper, even with exchange rates and shipping costs, than domestically.
Strings By Mail in the U.S is very good imho. Invalid Link Removed They ship quick but then when the strings land in Oz, they can get bogged down in customs and delivery chain here. But that’s not SBM fault. I’ve also used Amazon as well. The delivery can be real lame at our end with some crappy courier shananigans. But in the end I have got my orders.

Lord of the Strings in the Netherlands is a good online source too

If you need something really customised and of the roundwound type, Newtone in the U.K are well regarded and mentioned already
