    Hey,

I'm in a hardcore/metal band, and we're getting to that point where we'd like to record and get material online to myspace and other mp3 websites.

I think there are 3 ways we can do this...

1.) One of those digital multi-track recorders that I've seen around on music websites.

2.) Buying a mixer and running all of our instruments through that, then direct to PC

    3.) Or a Recording Studio?

If theres anything I missed, please add it. And what is the most cost effective way for some demo recordings. Thanks

my friends recorded via amp and computer mic, and got fairly good results:

I tried that but it didnt work all that great for me.

There are like a zillion threads in the RGaE forum about how best to do this. Do some browsing or use the search function and you'll probably get a lot of enlightenment.
