Best way to trigger drums. HELP

New to all this. Which is the best way to trigger drums. I have a plug in for drum tones thru cubase. Just need to get them to midi . I saw some on musicans friend for around $199 d drum to be exact. Sorry but im not a professional, just need some advice.................

thanks again,..................

Would the presonus be considered the brain and im going directly into cubase for recording not live.

By "brain," seamonkey means a "trigger-to-MIDI-interface." The Presonus Firepod and Firestudio are audio and MIDI interfaces, but not trigger-to-MIDI interfaces.

A web search will turn up some more trigger-to-MIDI options (including used Alesis D4 and D5 drum modules).

Sticks! he he he

Piezo transducers or "glass break detectors" to midi work and are inexpensive (when you get them from security supply or electronics supply) when you need a lot of them. You just need to add 1/4' plug to the end of wire. Here is 10 for $20 Link Removed

If you buy them as "drum sensors', they just cost more
