BFD3 vs Superior Drummer 2

Hey guys,

I'm having a really hard time deciding between purchasing BFD3 and Superior Drummer 2. The thing that makes the decision tough is that SD doesn't have a demo, whereas BFD3 does. If anyone has experience with either, your comments would be greatly appreciated. To be more specific, knowing what each program has over the other would be great. The most helpful information would come from someone who has used both programs, but I can imagine you normally wouldn't purchase both.

You should also look into Addictive Drums. That's what I have. I played drums for around ten years and most of that time was spent doing electronic drumming. Anyways, Addictive Drums is just as powerful, easier to use and cheaper!

Are you using it with an e-kit, or programming manually/via a keyboard?

Are you looking for a performance program, or one to do replacement/augmentation?

Jamstix 4 is allegedly going to be released in August.

Jamstix is great! The samples are great, but if you care it can also drive Superior Drummer or BDF3 or take your pick of drum samples.

i am quite partial to SD2 so far. i used bfd at a studio and it was pretty good, more flexible, etc, but even still, it didnt sound as good. i would like superior drummer to have more options of tuning the drums as well as dampening, but it will certainly do for now.
