Bill Lawrence P-46 vs. SD SPB-1

I have an '03 P bass with Seymour Duncan SPB-1's. So I know how the Duncan's sound. I have access to a set of P-46's. Wondering what to expect the difference would be if I swapped. Not asking which is better or your personal preferences. Simply want to get a better idea of if its a swap I would want to try. Yes I've visited the long winded thread. Currently using chromes on the bass (if that makes any difference). Thanks for any 1st hand info you can offer.

The BL will be more clear and uncolored. Slightly modern take on vintage compared to straight vintage on the Duncans

I have been using the duncan spb 3 now for a couple weeks it takes awhile to get used to the tone and how to set the bass and the amp to get the best out of the pickup. up to now i like the fullness of the bass and the punch and then you bring the treb. in, the more i play the better i like the tone. the mid's come out the closer you get to the bridge. it's all there you just have to find it. ps. i get more of a growl with the fender vin. bridge, the high mass bridge's don't, seem to have that. sometimes less is more.
