I have had success with the Fender 62 RI guards in the past. I did run into a problem with a recent built one that was slightly off, but I made it work. When ordering from Spitfire, I get the 13 hole for Fender and they fit.

Question on the PB-52, looking to get one.

Is the neck profile chunky or is it more like a classic P Bass?
Is the lack of body contours an issue? Does it dig into your arm while playing sitting or standing?

I've come to realize that I usually play my jazz on the neck pickup solo'd, so a throwback P might be what I'm looking for.

Hey ya'll, I bought a Nash PB-63 a while back and I love the playability and sound of it, but I'm thinking about getting a jazz pickup installed in the bridge.

I would rather have the work done by the Nash shop itself, and was wondering if anyone here has ever sent a bass back to Nash to have any custom work done?

Could send him an email and ask about prices, but thought I'd ask here first because if the charges are astronomical there's no point in sending the email haha

I once considered this with a Mike Lull bass and called their shop and they said it would be about $1000 including a new custom pickguard and the cost of the pick up itself. Not the exact same, but maybe in the same ballpark.

Sorry, I have never played an actual classic P bass so cant answer that part. The neck is great for me. As for the lack of contour, it has not been a problem for me ever but others might disagree. Can you get your hands on one to try it?

Just got a pb63 from a TBer. Really nice bass, I love the sound of it. Using rounds currently. It records so nicely, has a nice bark to it but the pickup is more balanced than the fender reissues which are pretty low mid forward to me.

I haven't played a fender CS in a while but I prefer the Nash to the fender reissues in terms of look feel and tone. And the pv63 is a really nice pickup.

Great pbass especially if you can get one for 2k or a little less. Love the case too, super high quality.

Finally arrived. Approximately 1 year from order date. Chad and Jeff at The Bass Shop in West Seattle are terrific guys. Pop in a buy a set of strings or a new bass.

It's been over a year and the nitro on this bass has finally cured. When I picked this bass up, I was nervous about the paint. It was so bright, almost neon. It didn't look anything like a nice vintage fiesta red.. now it's pretty much perfect!

I'll join the club. I ordered a PB-57 from my local shop in mid July and received it late September, a wait of just over two months. Specs were as traditional as I could make it: ash body with two tone sunburst and medium aging; C shaped neck with 10" radius and maple fretboard; Lollar pickup and gold anodized pickguard.

It might not have the patina of an original vintage instrument, but it's quite pretty and as close to the real thing as I'll ever get. I'll certainly do my best to give it some genuine wear and tear.

Loving my pb63 in sonic blue. It's my #1. I'm entertaining the thought of getting a jb63. I have a 2008 Fender Road Worn Jazz bass in the classifieds. If I can move that, it's game on.

I have my Nash PB-63 with Lollar on its way to me, and I want to put flats on it. Any suggestions which flats pair well with Lollar? I know it's personal but any input will be appreciated.
