Love your profile pic/user name! BAD NEWS!!!Wasn’t sabbath without bill.
That swing style he has along with people such as Peter criss and Ian paice make a massive difference to the feel, and mark them out as the revolutionary drummers they are

God bless him

That was just Ozzy stuck in a loopWhen I saw Black Sabbath in 1999 (I think) at Oz Fest, when Ozzy introduced Bill Ward he kept yelling: "Mr. Billlll Ward!!!.......Mr. Billlll Ward!!!!.....Mr. Billlll Ward!!!...." long enough for it to get awkward and weirdprobably for about 90 seconds.
Thinking back on it...either the lip-synch track got stuck or he was having a mental "episode"but I'll always remember that whenever I think of Mr. Billlll Ward!!!

"Let's get f@ckin craaazy!!!" would also go on for a while. I saw them in 2000.
Bill Ward was never a super technical drummer, but man could he swing! And play heavy!
The band never sounded quite right with anyone else at the kit

Anyone who loves Spinal Tap and hasn't watched Bad News (and the sequel More Bad News) should do so IMMEDIATELY!!! I think they're both on Youtube. British comedy at it's best. They're like the less successful, scruffier version of Spinal Tap. Some of the funniest moments are of course things that anyone who has done any low budget touring with a struggling band in a van will have experienced, but tried very hard to forget.![]()
