Yeah, that's it. If you listen to his early stuff on Shapnel as a sideman he lays it down great. I had a nice chat with him after a Niacin gig. Super good guy and his lesson vids are excellent, too.

he typically will answer if you DM him on social media.
I hit him up asking where to find a used attitude II and he told me (forgive me, i had no idea) there was a FB group for attitude bass lovers.
heard many first hand stories of him being a very nice "regular dude" who just loves music and basses.

Billy is indeed very active on the Attitude Limited FB group. He personally responded to me by PM when I needed help servicing a pair of Pearce BC1 preamps. Very generous with his time.
My playing style is nothing like Billy's, but I love the Attitude Limited bass. I've had 4 of the first-generation model. I don't know what it is about the neck, but it lets you slam the action to the floor and still dig in and play hard without buzzing.

Cool - a guy just offered and sold an ATT3 about 3 days ago. Check it daily for at least a month and something will pop up. Nice bunch of guys and Billy comes around now and then as well.
ATT2 and ATT3 are in my opinion one of the best P-Bass style basses on the planet. If you manage to score one you wont be disappointed. I managed to purchase the 30th Anniversary Model which is the best version yet. Give it a listen.

It's funny - before I tried playing it, I expected the Attitudes to be like a P Bass on steroids, and TBH I've never really jived with P Basses. This didn't seem like a P Bass to me - the neck was flatter, it played differently. I dunno, could be all in my head, but it's definitely the best P Bass style bass that I have ever played!
You are correct. The neck is flatter and it does play differently but those are the things that make this bass better than your standard P-Bass. I mean unless you are a purist you wont like the Attitude basses but if you want to improve on the world standard there are only a few brands that come to mind and Yamaha is one of them. I also like Sadowsky and Sandberg to name a few.
A Yamaha TRB6P was my main bass for many, many years. I had to stop playing 6'es due to a hand injury, but I loved that bass. The neck kind of reminds me of that - a little wide, but also flat, and very comfortable.
Also, I love my Sadowsky's and just sold a Sandberg (only because I have way too many basses).
I had a TRB-5PII and that was an amazing bass. Neck is flatter I believe 16" radius where the Attitude is 12" radius.

It used to be listed as 12" I guess they changed it.
Interesting. I just found this in a manual from version I.
The manual I have on file for V2 doesn't specify the radius.
So V1 was listed as 11" I know for a fact V2 was listed at 12" and now V3 is 10". I have V2 and V3 and I can't tell the difference. They feel the same in my hands.
I have a V1 and a pair of V3, one being the 30th Anniversary. Radius wise they feel the same to me as well, but the shape of the necks are all a little different.
