Billy Shehan edition Yamaha BB?

i'd be really interested to have a go on this bass but the nearest one is 350 miles away i think.

anyone got any experience with it?

In addition to the split pickup, the BB714BS carries a specially designed double humbucker installed at the neck position where it generates great low-end tone. The front humbucker is wired through a push-pull high-cut circuit that lets you choose between a traditional “Attutude" neck pickup tone with high-end, or a bass boosted ultralow 60's sound.

it's got the same general design as other BB basses but its preamp/pickups are different and they are located much further towards the neck.

I tried one awhile back.. Firstly I am biased... I like BB's and am also a Billy fan..

IMHO it's a great bass for a good price.. Nowhere near the price of the 2024 or Attitude 3 but it sounds great. However I would be doing you a disservice if I did not ask you to check out the 1024. Another awesome bass and can be gotten for a surprisingly good price.
