I have available a lovely handmade bass from Opatik, a luthier here in Northern Michigan. Beautiful figured birdseye maple that really catches the light!
Standard 34” scale, with a 1 ½” width at the nut, and a slim C profile neck. I don’t have a scale handy but would guess about 9 lbs.
The through-neck is 5 piece, layers of walnut and maple, with a bound ebony fingerboard and two octaves worth of frets. Body is also bound, and coated with nitrocellulose lacquer, so this beauty will just get more mellow and amber over time. I love the body shape, which is a homage to a Rickenbacker without being a slavish copy.
Tuners are vintage Grovers, bridge is a Schaller, the stacked knobs control a pair of passive Vintage Reissue Fender Jazz pickups.
The craftsmanship matches the beauty of this guitar. This is a high quality instrument that plays beautifully, currently strung with Jonas Hellborg strings for a wonderful piano like tone.

Never gigged and only a couple very minor nicks on it. Comes with an excellent condition hardshell Gator case. Will ship to CONUS.
