Birdsong Embrace fretless w/ case. $750 shipped. 32 inch scale. Soapbar pickup. Weighs about 6.2 lbs. Spanish Cedar with Maple neck and Bloodwood board. Handmade in Texas. Plays like a dream. Nice low action. The bass came with just a volume knob and no tone. A 3 way tone switch was added. I've played this bass on reggae gigs, blues, jazz and top 40. I think it sounds great for everything. There are dots and lines on the side of the fingerboard where the frets would be. I never played a fretless before this and I was able to adjust to it quickly with the marks on the side.

Yup... modded her and added the tone knob... and switched out the pickup to the Delano extender... changed out the volume knobs to a push/pull... not sure what effect that did... meaning if the pickup is either series/parallel or some version of a coil tap... I'm no tech guru just an techno experimenter.... whatever I did... she sounds killer! Put some ghs brite flats and had some cool upright thump... now sporting ghs precision flats for a more versatile tone... I've tried tapes... very cool add well... lol... I've tried everything!

Anyways... anyone looking for a Fretless birdsong on the cheap that's light as a feather... look no further! This is a great deal!
