Bitcoin Love

I checked one of your sales, and you give your asking price in dollars. Would you give your asking price in bitcoins instead?

Once it stabilizes, sure. However, even if my 'native' currency was Italian Lira, since most of the transactions are done here in USD I'd still put my prices in USD. I can eat a day's worth of variation either way, most days. Yes the occasional massive price-drops or price-hikes of BTC could potentially be problematic, for the most part it's stabilized enough for my purposes.

Bitcoin is an interesting idea. I hope it catches on, particularly in black market industries.

all currency inherently loses value over time and binds you to a system that profits from your participation and location... so yeah, why not invent one that's new and slightly free.

the only currency i recognise is wheels of cheese.

I like the idea of a means for transferring money -- especially across borders -- without paying fees. What I don't see, so far, is a way for bitcoins to stand on their own as anything but a short term medium of exchange. Folks will continue to trust the Federal Reserve, or equivalent national banks in first world countries, to assure the stability of their cash assets.

Looks like Mt. Gox, one of Bitcoin's two biggest exchanges, has had ongoing issues processing transactions. Weird price spreads have been one side effect.
