Bizarre Riverhead Phantombass Active electronics problem. I need a hero!

Following this with great intrest, i also own the same bass and I have no idea what the 4EQ actually does.

Mine had a great big sticker on it for YEARS, and now i have a patch of white in a sea of creme.
Do you have any more of those decals? I might refinish my bass.

I would swap out that preamp and install an audere pre. Dave will make any configuration you want and his customer service is second to none.

@Gnermo, @neutralomen Hey guys. I am lucky enough to have one of these basses too! I just got it recently and wanted to start cleaning it up. I took off the bridge but I have no idea how to get the tailpiece off. Do you guys have any ideas? I took out the four screws (where the arrow is pointing) but it still doesn't move.

I sold the bass a while ago, but isn't it removed by unscrewing those six hex screws?
