Black Friday

So who's ready for Black Friday? Anyone getting some sweet gear while its going on or anything? Post it here!

Also, does anyone happen to know if crazy discounts and stuff extend to online stores n' whatnot?

you probably already know this site, but
http://bfads.net/
lists a lot of the deals. slickdeals.net is also pretty good, but has more to wade through.

I'm not going out at 2AM or whatever...I value sleep too much. I did just get myself and my family some clothes at old navy online. Cashmere sweater for the Mrs...$30. They're already getting sold out as I type...fewer colors and sizes available.

If I feel alright in the morning (have a cold), I'll go to Guitar Center with the 20% coupon dealie.

IIRC, MJ5150 does the hardcore, leave the house at midnight and wait in line at Best Buy kinda thing. You out there buddy?

I suggest we stop using the term "Black friday" as I find it offensive and you hurt my feelings... I'm calling Jesse Jackson you jerks!

:hiding:

Black Friday scares me...went to Wal-Mart a few years ago with an ex for it and it was the craziest thing ever, people were running wild and lines wrapped around the whole store. I think I'll stay inside where I feel kinda safe lol.

My old lady is out at Wal-Mart right now on the front lines... She called me a minute ago & told me that people were stealing other peoples baskets, taking stuff out of baskets, basket pileups, etc. :p.....

Her sister has been sitting outside of Toys "R" Us since 3 a.m......

I am sitting at home drinking coffee..... Radness :D

I kinda wanted a new cheap HDTV, but screw being out there in the 28 degree weather. My wife called me at 6 am, and some dude backed into her car in a parking lot. So I have to go out there and sort it out, and the guy doesn't want to turn it in to insurance or make a police report (around here, they don't come out to fender benders on private property, how stupid is that?!). So he offers us 500 bucks cash, which I decline. Replacing the bumper is going to cost near 1000, easy. So, off to the insurance it goes.

My Sister In Law is out there right now too...She's real hardcore about it....more power to her, but I think She's an absolute nutter for doing it.

You just can't get to enough places "in time".

And if I went and someone stole something out of my cart out of pathetic desperation, I would kick their ass and be thrown in jail :smug: I have not one iota of tolerance for that crap...better off at home playing Transformers with the boy.

when Black Friday comes
I'll stand down by the door
And catch the gray men
When they dive from the fourteenth floor
When Black Friday comes
I'll collect everything I'm owed
And before my friends find out
I'll be on the road
When Black Friday falls you know it's got to be
Don't let it fall on me

When Black Friday comes
I'll fly down to Muswellbrook
Gonna strike all the big red words
From my little black book
Gonna do just what I please
Gonna wear no socks and shoes
With nothing to do
But feed all the Kangaroos
When Black Friday comes I'll be on that hill
You know I will

When Black Friday comes
I'm gonna dig myself a hole
Gonna lay down in it
'Til I satisfy my soul
Gonna let the world pass by me
The Archbishop gonna sanctify me
And if he don't come across
I'm gonna let it roll
When Black Friday comes I'm gonna stake my claim
I guess I'll change my name.

you can't get a bodyman to spit on a car for less than $500.
Good for you, that's what insurance is for.

I was thinking about the Sony laptop at best buy for $399. Yesterday I thought better of it and got a Compaq refurb, 15.4", 1.7ghz, 1GB ram, 80GB hard drive for $399 from TigerDirect. The Vaio would have been nice, but the Compaq will suit my needs just fine.

40 GB of hard drive space is worth me not standing in line for 18 hours.

Too cold to do that sh*t up here.

I live in Eau Claire, WI and I was at Walmart this morning. It was crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyy!!!!! My brother in law almost got into a fight with some guy over a tv. Actually they were practically wrestling over it. We were at Walmart and there were only 10 Polariod 42" LCD HDTVs for $798 (with 1080p resolution I should add). Once the Walmart employees yell out "Rip 'em open!", everyone ripped the pallet plastics off and each grabbed one. We got to the last one and started pulling it out. Out of nowhere, some guy jumps onto the box and yells "I've been here since 3!". My brother in law flips the box and the guy goes flying to the other side but the guy would not let go of the box. The box lands on top of him. My brother in law rips the box from him and yells "It's mine! I got it first!" The guy looked like he was about to bawl so I told my brother in law to let him have it. The look on his face was priceless! :D

That was the most shameful thing I have ever witness in my entire life. He was a grown man (35-40 yrs old) for Pete's sake! I swear, my obnoxious 5-yr old nephew acts more mature than him. It wasn't like the tv was free. No wonder why businesses are making their billions.:rollno:

You'll be able to buy that same exact TV for that, or even less, in a couple months.

I think the best approach would be to not bathe for a week, put on the grungiest clothes you can find, and put a bunch of fake sores from Halloween all over you before shopping. No one would wrestle with someone like that.
