Black ice + Cap =?

  1. If i were to wire my tone with a black-ice-clipping-diodes in front of the cap, what would happen?

    Too vague a question.

    Active or passive?

And what's a black-ice clipping diode? Is it just a diode?

You'll need something pretty heavy to drive the Black Ice.

    Think 16k as a minimum.

  4. Hmm...I'll have to test the Pickups first before anything else.

With the cap on Black Ice, will it just clip the highs or just make it sound like a bunch of terrible?

your instrument would sound like it had a dying battery and was plugged into a broken amp. :spit:

It won't sound like much of anything. Complete signal suck. If your pickups don't have enough ass to break over the BI's threshold, you get a bunch of quiet.
