Black on Black P-Basses with cream Pickup

I have a black on black (body/pickguard) with a cream P/U, but a maple neck. I think maple looks better than rosewood on a black body personally, but to each their own.
That's cool!
But yeah, of course having a creme pickup with a maple neck ''works''.
I wonder if it does with an ''all black'' bass as well.
Thanks, this bass is a “Frankenstein”... vintage 1976 neck (That I had John Kallas refret) on a Classic ‘50s RI Body, with a Fender “Original” pickup (with aftermarket cream covers). It’s my favorite P to play live. It plays fantastic, but for whatever reason it just has this thumpy “weight” to all the notes that my other Ps just don’t quite have. I almost always have strangers come up to me (many of them fellow bass players) and ask me how I get a regular ole P bass to sound so fat. I always tell them it’s just this bass, it has “it”. Overall it’s a pretty light bass too at 9 lbs. on the dot.
Some objects are just immediately pleasing, aesthetically. David Gilmore's strat comes to mind. It just looks like it would play and sound wonderful. Thanks for the ingredients 
I guess my 83 BC Rich Eagle might count but doesnt have a pickguard. I think the pickup is a DiMarzio but not sure. I added the cream speed knobs.

A bit different from my idea (of course, with the lighter colored neck, the creme color pickup is perfect), but it's very cool!
I guess it plays wonderful too, I've heard great things about DiMarzio P-pickups... they say they're very powerfull, insanely hot, have lots of mids, good treble and still a pretty nice bottom end.
That's really helpful. I ordered the body yesterday. Already have the neck with Hipshots and 2 sets of Model Ps (black and cream). Thanks again!

Cool site...KISEKAE dont know what color to build a new PJ with maple neck..The honey blonde looks nice...tho i think this is more creamy
Black body finish with a black-cream-black (not black-white-black) pickguard and a cream pickup cover might look very nice indeed.
