Double Bass Blender

I have 2 separate wing pickups attached to the bridge. I want to be able to mix the two. Is there a blender that would attach to the DB?--possibly not as the blender would be to big, but that would be the first choice.

If not what make of blender would you consider the best buy for the double bass--some blenders better than others? I am looking for a blender which is 'pretty straight forward'--that is volume and possibly tone controls as I would not use extra effects but if that would not be possible I could live with that.

Answers welcome. Many thanks.

That one is nice, but maybe not what you're looking for:

Sorry, couldn't resist! :)

Dual Channel Pro Preamp | K&K Sound -
Includes a three band EQ on each channel that can be adjusted internally with a small screw driver.

Or this: EDB-2 | Headway Music Audio - Two channel, but the EQ on this will work on the blend. Each channel does not have its own EQ.

Or this: FELiX – Grace Design - Not cheap, but a true two channel preamp with all the bells and whistles.

Just some examples from relatively cheap to very expensive preamp possibilities.

I'm using this one, the ST version which receives a single stereo 1/4 plug for input and provides either separate mono channels outbound or a single blended mono channel outbound.

On my Alcoa it's solidly mounted to the back side of my quiver, easily accessible but out of view from the front.

This pre-amp includes EQ and gain pots internally for each channel, and volume knobs externally for each channel, which allows for on-the-fly blending.

It uses one 9V battery for about 60 hours (I usually get more).

Input Impedance: 1 Mega Ohm

With only the two volume controls outside of the case, it's very simple and quick to use. With my pickup system it provides huge headroom with amps or FOH systems.

Any info on when this will be released/features/cost? I love my EDB-2 too...
Can't seem to find it, but I got an email from them a few weeks ago about the new EDB-2. It had separate EQ for each channel, and a few other new options. If I remember correctly it's about to be released in January/February. The price was a bit higher than the current model, but I don't remember exactly. I sent them an email now, will get back when they reply.

Yep, a blender is an indispensable accessory for those hot outdoor summer gigs. Only thing is that I always get a little of the margarita mix on my fingers and they get sticky. Couple more margs and I don't care any more, though.

Here it is. Coming out in January, introduction price is the same as the old model, GB £ 250. They are also working on a new mini model.

The new EDB-2 H.E looks really nice. Small gripe, I wish the HPF were dialable rather than just a switch with three selectable frequency ranges. At least there is an HPF.

I emailed Headway yesterday to see when EDB-2 H.E will be available in the USA and at what price. We'll see if the answer.
