Blowing amps please help!

I am building a little science experiment using this amp the these seat shakers. The amp is powered by a 27vdc power supply with one signal coming in and one seat shaker attached to each channel (3 total) with a 50 watt 4ohm speaker on the last channel. Problem is it worked for 10 minutes and fried one amp. I attached it to a second thinking it was a bad board and it fried the second. Anyone know what sup I'm desperate! Here are the links.

You have to look closely at the ratings for multichannel "consumer audio" power amps. The ratings often assume that not all channels are run at 100% power 100% of the time.

Also, when you say "fried," was it real smoke, or just the amp shutting down. The Tripath chips have a protection mode where they have to be powered down and back up again. You may also have driven the power supply into current limit.

I read the user manual. On the first powerup, you are supposed to use 12volts. Did you do that? The board requires a very stable supply, and a lot of current. The recommended supply is rated at 14.65 amps. That's quite a bit.

It has a warning about hitting the input too hard. Too high an input signal can burn out the board. It's hard with shakers to know how "loud" they actually are. Could you have turned the signal to the input too high? It warns about using a preamp.

Thanks for the help. I did the 12 volt thing. Company told me ideal was 27 volts. Tried to call parts express but they were closed and im on a deadline lol. I went from my cell phone to the input on my receiver then out the subwoofer output into a 3 way y cable then one shaker per channel.

Power supply was checked and is fine. No smoke on amps just leds went out and wont function. Powered on and off a few times and let things cool off and had no luck... also no fuses. Maybe should run both shakers on one signal? The reciever that was sending the cell phone signal through the sub port and amp did trip every now and then and turn off. Maybe i gave them too much? If so is there a way to limit?

I spoke to parts express and they say the setup should work and they have no idea whats wroung. I checked and input signal is at most 300mv and the board can take 8. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am going to order some more amps..hopefuly there wont be an issue.
