Blues Brothers James Brown bassist

I was just watching this last night with my son (his first time!) and was digging the bass player in the James Brown church scene. Can anyone name him?

I don't know who it is but it's not an actor, the guy was definitely playing.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is David Weston, who played with Brown probably up through the mid 80s. He was married to one of the singers in the band and for awhile they owned a club in Augusta GA. David is still there, playing mostly electric, some upright and a bunch of keyboards with a smooth jazz group called Preston & Weston.

A great bass player and a great guy. If you run into him, get him to tell you about the hang with Jaco...
