Bongo Brown sounds pretty great on there as well (assuming that’s who it was).

I was 12 years old when this was out.
My sister had this on 45 as well as "Taurus"
"Sad Angel" was my favorite.

I don't think I have heard this since it was on the radio.
It came back in memory in the opening section, but then the bass...wow....I'd forgotten how good that was.
And....Lonnie Liston Smith"Expansions" comes later on that playlist.
Great bass on that one (Cecil McBee).
(Listening now, I can hear how similar Expansions is to "Mirage" on Santana's Borboletta album. The same year, 1974.)
