Always a fan of the band through their many line-up changes but the current group of Andy Powell's band are phenomenal. Loved Martin Turner's early work with the band but Bob Skeat along with their young drummer make up a rhythm section second to none. IMHO. Saw them a few months back at Yoshi's in Oakland. Bob played a Stingray 5 string and what looked to be some sort of GK 6-10 rig. Killer tone and chops. If you're old(er) like me and miss good melodic guitar rock check out their latest 'Blue Horizon' and remember how good 16 strings or in this case 17 strings can sound.

Saw Wishbone Ash last night in Albany, NY. Brought me right back to my college days in 1970s. Bob Skeat and drummer tight as ever.

I absolutely agree with this. The Bones have always been a great band, with superb musicians, throughout all of their lineups since 1969. Martin Turner was the reason I first picked up a bass, following the first album. Bob Skeat is still their bassist, and he's brilliant.
