Boneheaded SVT question

It's been ages since I rocked a tube bass amp--that's my excuse for the following
I'm using an SVT Classic at a rehearsal studio for a few days, and regarding the Standby vs. Power switches, my understanding from reading the SVT Classic manual from the Ampeg site is that, first you fire up Power(LED is Green), wait a bit then turn on Standby(LED is then Red) until you're ready to play, then turn Standby OFF (by depressing it back down, LED turns green again). On this amp I'm getting the Green LED (and therefore sound from the amp!) with both switches On (depressed Up). Is this correct?

Have the standby switch set to "Standby". And the power switch set to "Off".

Turn the power switch to "On", while leaving the standby switch on "Standby".

Give the amp a couple minutes or so to heat up a bit, then turn the standby switch to "On".

And yeah, when both switches are on, the amp is getting power and is on (ie not in standby).
