Bongo 5 E through C anyone ?

OK - I played Arbitrary's Jerzey again ... 5 er in E through C just makes a lot off sense to me given the musical settings in which I normally work. Given tha there's no way I can spend on a JD, I'm thinkin' maybe a Bongo 5...

Anybody doin' that and if so, how do ya like it ...

this is actually tempting to me, one with the piezo pup...the combo of HH with piezo is very tempting for E-C.. I think a piezo helps the c and chords ring out on basses...

I have my MTD Kingston EADGC. I know it's not the same as the bongo, but it has the MM style pick up and it sounds cool. It has a nice "snap" to it, some of this is the Bart-pre that's installed, but I say go for it. you can always go back. I gotta imagine that the bongo would sound nice.

I had a Bongo 5 strung E-C and though it sounded fine. I would strongly recommend a heavier gauge C string though as a real light one got lost in the mix before I switched it for a heavier one. No issues with the nut or setup either.
