Good day,

I'm a guitar player, from Eastern France, but I naturally began to play a bit of bass (mostly because of the Heavy Cruiser's epic version of C'mon everybody and Jamul - Ramblin Man). I play on a Burns barracuda and a Squier Bass VI... yeah yeah I can see you raising a suspicious eyebrow

I came here, because one of your members was looking for the name of a bass on youtube video's comments, and I got caught in the search. (Saints Anger - The bullet, for the curious ones)

I know it's difficult to notice it, because my english is just flawless , but, as a matter of fact, I'm a french speaking person. So, sorry in advance for all the misspelling and the strange idioms !

I really want to get a Squier VI!! I think Jack Nitzsche “Lonely Surfer” and Glen Campbell “Wichita Lineman” stuff!! Also- Roy Babbington of the (middle years) Soft Machine played a Bass VI!

Excellent choice ! Soft machine and Tempest are my personnal favorite fusion bands for the early 70's.

The bass VI, after a few tweaks (On mine, I changed the nut, the bridge, redone the electronics , and still have to find good tuners too) and a set of heavy strings (La Bella 767-6 Flat in my case), is just a wonderfull instrument. I had the opportunity to try both the fender pawnshop and the squier version in a store 9 years ago, and the squier was really better than the fender counterpart (gotta love the original switches though). They both playe equally well, but the Squier sounded better and had a wider tonal variety than the fender. So, for the price ...
