Kibble, milkbones, and P Basses. And redheads.
My jazz band just did a fall festival at a local farm/catering establishment about 4 miles from my house. They want to book us for a monthly day gig next year. Me likee.

I'm the second call bassist for a corporate events, private parties, and weddings type band. The band leader has booked an average of 64 gigs per year for the last eight years, and won't take a booking if it pays less than $3,000. I have no idea how he does it, but I'm always super happy when the first call bassist can't make a gig and I get to pick it up.
This just came over the transom...BL has 28 gigs lined up already. Makes me happy, also scares me just a little. I mean, just seeing all of them at once. Anybody else filling their 2019 calendars? (And if anybody in the central Connecticut area wants to stop in and say Hi, here are the current opportunities.)

as erstwhile BL for one of my bands, that's a lot of work, I'm appalled at my lack of such effort.
93 so far on the calendar for 2018, and should reach triple-digits as there are a few contracts being tied up. I’m told the plan is for at least that many in 2019. That, along with travel, a day job & family.....whew - I’m tired already! Oh yeah, and a new album dropping by the end of the year to promote! 52 and still going strong! Music keeps me young.
