I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations on theory/instructional books dealing with different music from different parts of the world. Essentially non-western music.
I want to learn more foreign/exotic forms and scales as well as the historical and geographical background involved.
If anyones studied along these lines Id be very interrested to hear of any good books dealing with it.
