Boom stand recommendations?

I just joined a band where i've comitted to singing backups.
I have some decent mics, but I need a boom stand. My criteria:

-collapseable for transport
-stable enough base that it wont tip over easily
-quality hardware that wont loosen with use.

any suggestions?

People seem to really like atlas stands. Im personally in the camp that cannot tell a difference. I get the cheapy $20 boom stands at sam ash. I used them everyday in my studio and they work flawlessly. Every year or so I have to replace one, but not too often. The atlas stands will last alot longer but at what price. $20 for a cheapy, or $80 for a more expensive stand that will not last 4 times as long.

I use an OnStage stand. Had it for over a year and it works just fine. I got two of them for free with a bunch of low end mics.

I really like my Hercules straight stand with a pivoting base(Legs). It has a squeeze clutch to lower and raise the mike, and because it is not a boom, I can angle it back for playing comfort, while no arm sticks out into the audience area. After having had boom stands accidentally shoved into my mouth by out of control dancers I found this was a much better alternative than a boom stand. I think it was about $50 at Sam Ash.

Pay a little more it will be worth it in the log run
dont get the 10 stands for 100 bucks on ebay I did that I'm down to 2 of them
and my 40 dollar one is still holding up

Just came accross this. Everyone here seems to like onstage stands. Musicians friend has a pretty good deal going, 2 boom stands for $30.
