I had looked at these in the past (like 7 years ago), and forgotten about them until now! I think I'd want something that can be easily replaced if anything happened to it. I'm not sure how readily available these are in my area, but I'll check it out this weekend if I can.

Bought one of these used to use with my VI string bass. Fantastic clean boost pedal with an extremely useful EQ section. Also has a switch in the back for true or buffered bypass. Definitely worth it.

I've actually been using a one-band para EQ pedal with adjustable gain to do just this. When a small boost is necessary, I find that a little extra in a portion of the frequency spectrum is much more controllable and band-friendly than a full-range boost.
