Bootsy

I read somwhere Bootsy quit due to a few factors, a couple of which were his unfolding choice of "lifestyle" (ie lots of LSD all the time) and his desire to move onto a band where he had more freedom and potentially money.
Could be rubbish of course (though the acid bit sounds about right considering Bootsy in the early 70's!!)

My understanding is that Bootsy saw all the wild stuff going on at the time in the 70's and decided that wearin' a suit and backing up James' was too restrictive for him.

Here's a good interview with Bootsy on NPR about his time with James Brown.
