Boss GT 10b as an amp head?

So I was wondering...

Would it be possible to use the Boss GT10b as an amplifier and plug directly into a speaker cabinet? I know I can go DI into a desk but could I just buy one cab instead of a head as well?

Well you need at least a power amp...

No. I think you can run out of the GT-10B into a power amp, and THEN into a speaker, but you need to get your signal from the instrument/line-level signal of the processer to speaker level.

I think you meant to say 'run the GT-10 into an amplifier' YES a few do it that way, stereo if you can.
I know of someone using a GT-10B into a Crown 3200 watt amp and stereo speaker cabs.
To use the GT-10 as an amplifier would be like plugging your bass directly into a speaker cabinet.

Here's what I do. I run my GT-10 straight to the board and I have a powered monitor on stage, so I just add some bass to my monitor mix. It works for me and my ageing back.
